Patricia Crowther, who goes as Thelema in her craft, Currently 96 years old, Patricia Dawson was born in Sheffield on October 14, 1927. Gerald Gardner initiated her into the Wicca tradition, making her one of the traditions pioneering speakers. Crowther has made numerous contributions to Wicca. She is considered as one of the modern Wicca’s “early mothers.” In 1961, Patricia and her husband Arnold Crowther founded the Sheffield Coven, where they served as High Priestess and High Priest.

Her contributions to the coven went beyond coven leadership; she was a prolific writer and a vocal supporter of Wicca. The literary works of Crowther include, among others, “The Witches Speak” and “Witch Blood (The Diary of a Witch High Priestess).” In addition, she wrote for esoteric publications and magazines, and her public appearances promoted Wicca.

Patricia has dedicated her life to the practice of Wicca, and her contributions have greatly influenced how others view and comprehend the Tradition today.
